Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the ClothTrace app. By downloading or using ClothTrace, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What ClothTrace is

ClothTrace reads the information printed on a garment's care label and presents fiber composition, decoded care instructions, and informational grades for health, sustainability and quality. ClothTrace reads what is printed on the label; it does not chemically test the garment. Labels can be inaccurate, and our grades and findings are informational guidance, not medical, safety or professional advice. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the actual garment.

No medical advice

Health-related findings, including notes on synthetics, dyes, microplastics and PFAS-risk finishes, are general information. They are not a diagnosis or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. If you have a specific health concern, consult a professional.
